Cairo,Egypt   The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, met with the Dutch Minister of Asylum and Migration, H.E. Mrs. Marjolein Faber, on Wednesday in Cairo on the sidelines of the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Khartoum Process and discussed with her strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in the field of migration.

Minister Ahmed Fiqi expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for hosting the Somali community, noting that their presence contributes to strengthening the bond between the two nations and promoting mutual understanding.

The discussion also delved into collaborative strategies to combat illegal migration, emphasizing the importance of addressing its humanitarian, political, and security dimensions, while exploring innovative solutions to enhance border management, migration policy frameworks, and long-term sustaion.
