Saudi Arabia and Somalia Explore New Investment Opportunities in Riyadh

Riyadh,Saudi- Saudi Arabia and Somalia are advancing efforts to deepen economic and investment cooperation following high-level talks in Riyadh.
A Somali delegation led by Finance Minister Bihi Iman Egeh arrived in the Saudi capital this week and held discussions with Abdulmuhsen Binu Sa’ad Alkhalaf, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also in attendance was Ambassador Mohamed Ali Americo, Director of Mogadishu Port.
Talks centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation and identifying new opportunities for investment in Somalia. Minister Bihi expressed optimism about the future of economic ties between the two nations, highlighting Somalia’s growing potential in key sectors.
The delegation also met with representatives of the Saudi Fund for Development, where they presented strategic opportunities for investment in Somalia. Ambassador Mohamed Ali emphasized the pivotal role of the new Mogadishu Port in boosting trade, attracting investment, and fostering long-term economic growth.
The meetings mark a new chapter in Somalia–Saudi Arabia relations, with both sides signaling readiness to enhance collaboration in trade, infrastructure, and development initiatives. Telegaraf News
